Are you fishing for more criticism?

When did Lent become a Mormon custom? I must have missed a revelation somewhere.

No. Why would you imagine such a thing? Really. Why?
Watching this young woman's repulsive statement, why would you think that's what I want?
I've seen considerable criticism of Latter-day Saints regarding a statement from Japan area presidency. This excruciating blasphemy seems infinitely worse. That was my point. Do you disagree? I expressed it with a slight bit of irony. Is that not permitted?
Try, perhaps once, giving me some credit. Try, perhaps once, not to make it personal.

My daughter teaches at a school where Catholicism is the most prevelant religion. She was asked what she is giving up for Lent. She must have looked blank because her work colleagues answered for her: she's giving up teaching!
That made her laugh.

Not only is she almost certainly not a Mormon, but, in my judgment, she's almost certainly not a Christian, or any other kind of believer in God.
In fact, I am almost certain that this is intended as a
mockery of people who are inclined to think that God produces natural disasters in order to punish the wicked. Such thinking is not rare enough, from what I have seen. One of my wife's fellow workers (a Latter-day Saint) expressed similar sentiments last week, prompting me to set apart 5 minutes at the start of my gospel doctrine lesson to debunk such notions.

I guess I'm just mystified why you'd try to connect this person to Mormonism. It doesn't seem to serve much of a purpose, beyond that which I suggested.

Ok, we got it! MMM was an early day Japan with all those atheistic women and children. Could have easily been the face of Brigham Young on that video!!!

There is nothing more awesome than a God of death and destruction. You all better fear him, or he will bring death and destruction upon you. Let us pray.
