Searching Joseph on FamilySearch.org

Post by _Hagoth »

I have read manyl times that you can find information about all of Joseph's wives on FamilySearch.org. I admit to being a genealogy dunce, but I could not find a Joseph Smith, son of Joseph Smith and Lucy Mack, born in Sharon, Vt in 1805. Lots of Joseph Smiths in various places born that year but I can't find the right one. Can anyone enlighten me about my particular idiocy?

Are you trying to use regular familysearch.org or new.familysearch.org?

EDIT: Here are the search results from the old familysearch site. You kinda have to just click through them. LDS ordinances will only show up for signed in LDS members.

Well, that's interesting. The Marriages/Spouses field says "unavailable." Did I do something wrong or has this informations been locked out?

Which site are you using?

The LDS ordinance information will only show up for a church member who has signed in to familysearch or new.familysearch.

Why would they hide the information from anyone who wants to look at Joseph Smiths 'marriages'?

Embarassment?
