What is missing from the Bible...?

As legend has it, the Book of Mormon was necessary because the Bible had lost many 'plain and precious' things relating to the Gospel.

So...

...what Gospel principle/doctrine is in the Book of Mormon but not in the Bible?

The restoration of the Gospel was necessary because there were many "plain and precious" things removed from the Bible.

But the Book of Mormon does repudiate the doctrine of original sin and the baptism of infants.

Seems like you could cover that in a pamphlet. Why a whole book?

The Book of Mormon was necessary as another witness of Christ and to testify of the Restoration

So...

...what Gospel principle/doctrine is in the Book of Mormon but not in the Bible?

In 1 Nephi 13, the Book of Mormon does state that many plain and precious things were removed from the Bible. The Book of Mormon, or any other LDS scripture or doctrine does not claim to have replaced what is missing nor does it specify what is missing. However consider this early Christian statement:

Here Trypho [the Jew] remarked, "We ask you first of all to tell us some of the Scriptures which you allege have been completely cancelled." [Justin quotes some passages which the Jews evidently removed from Esdras and Jeremiah.] "And again, from the sayings of the same Jeremiah these have been cut out: 'The Lord God remembered His dead people of Israel who lay in the graves; and He descended to preach to them His own salvation.'"
Justin Martyr, Dialogue with Trypho 71-72, in ANF 1:234-235.

Irenaeus also quotes directly the missing portion:

And in Jeremias He thus announces His death and descent into hell, in the words: "And the Lord the Holy One of Israel bethought Him of His dead, who in the past had slept in the dust of the earth, and went down unto them, to bring the good news of salvation, to deliver them." Here He also gives the reason for His death; for His descent into hell was salvation for the departed. Irenaeus, Proof of the Apostolic Preaching 78, translated by Joseph P. Smith (Westminster, MD: Newman Press, 1953), ACW 16:97.

It is obvious that this doctrine, the preaching of the gospel to the dead, while referred to in the New Testament, was restored by the LDS Church. Perhaps the other christians would have been less likely to miss it if Jeremiah hadn't been changed.

But no, there is no claim or list of items the the Book of Mormon has specifically restored from missing Bible passages. There are certainly doctrines not extant in the Bible that are found in the Book of Mormon and we can list some of those if you wish.

The Bible itself also makes reference to other books of scripture. And then, as per the example above, the early christians, as they fell into universal apostasy, where always debating about what should and should not be included in scripture and accusing one another (and the Jews) of sabotaging the scriptures.

2 Nephi 2 on the purpose of the garden, agency, and the Fall.
2 Nephi 29 on the necessity of and existence of additional scripture.
Alma 13 on High Priests and the Melchizedek Priesthood.
Alma 32 on Faith
Alma 40 on the state after death but before the resurrection.
Alama 42 on the Atonement
Moroni 7 on the Spirit of Christ, good and evil, miracles.
Moroni 8 on the baptism of little children (forbidden).

Just a few off the top of my head. There are many others. A couple of those topics are obviously in the Bible, but not like they are in the Book of Mormon.

Most of the treasure trove of Christian stories were left out at the time of canonization. The least harm to Christian literature would have been to make a supercompendium of all this material for preservation by Catholic clerics. Hacking away at something till it agrees with a certain position, is something best left to Fox News.

Yeah. CBS does a terrible job of it and often resorts to the use of forged documents to fill in when their position can't be substantiated.

Anabaptist of the early 16th century didn't believe in baptizing infants or even children. They believed you needed to be older so you could understand what baptism was all about.

I would say a good date for baptism is thirty years of age.
