people used to be called to offices; deacon, teacher, etc. when the brotheren felt they were ready to receive the office, age didn't matter.
when did age become a factor when receiving priesthood office.
to me it just seems wrong that age is a factor.
for me it was never about being baptized or receiving the priesthood blessings. it was always about what family/neighbors might do to me if i said no. out of fear i said yes but never really desired those things. many former members/members feel the same way i did.
can anyone post links to church publications about the history of LDS priesthood ordinations.
