Joseph and the Polygamy question

Post by _LDSman007 »

Oddly enough it has been suggested that Joseph said the revelation on polygamy (Celestial Marriage) was of the Devil.
When that principle was revealed to the Prophet Joseph Smith ... he did not falter, although it was not until an angel of God, with a drawn sword, stood before him; and commanded that he should enter into the practice of that principle, or he should be utterly destroyed, or rejected, that he moved forward to reveal and establish that doctrine."
- Prophet Joseph F. Smith, "Plural Marriage for the Righteous Only-Obedience Imperative-Blessings Resulting", Journal of Discourses, Vol.20, p.28 - p.29

Were there any other eyewitnesses to that angel, or do we just have to take Joseph Smith's word for it?
"Finally, for your rather strange idea that miracles are somehow linked to the amount of gay sexual gratification that is taking place would require that primitive Christianity was launched by gay sex, would it not?"

Warren Jeffs has been telling the judge and jury that God is speaking to him... not angels, GOD.

Just makes you wonder why God and angels are so interested in, (obsessed with), making sure cult and religious leaders get to sexually use and abuse girls and women for their pleasure.

With all the challenges humans face, the one time God sends down an angel to make sure Joseph Smith is following through on a commandment is for sex.

Maybe it is just me but I do not by it; not for Jeffs, not for Koresh, not for Joseph Smith or any other of the hundreds of men who make such a ridiculous claim.
