Are there any explanations how symbol(s) appear on both the KP & GAEL? Were these common symbols used elsewhere or are they unique to the KP & GAEL? Did the forgers have any exposure to the GAEL?

Take practically any two written symbol systems, and you'll find parallels between them. BYU professor Paul Cheesman's favorite thing to do was to take [often inauthentic] inscriptions "found" in the Americas and compare them to the Anthon Transcript to see how many symbols they had in common. He always found at least a few, and frequently more than a few.

I was reading this wiki page yesterday and saw some symbols that were intersting. This was a group from Norway or Finland about the years 1000AD who wrote these symbols. You can scroll down to see the symbols.

So are the similarities considered just coincidental by Don?
Did Joseph Smith think there was a connection between any of the similar symbols on the Gael and the KP?
(I know "Watch the presentation" but I do not know where to watch it.)

Is it correct that Don's "bull's eye" (the character on the KP also being found among the KEP) requires that the elements of the KP character have to be deconstructed from the assembly in which they appear on the KP as a character, in order for the 'match' to be made?
How distinctive are these elements from other elements?
Are each of the elements in the deconstructed KP character found in the KEP character? Conversely, are each of the elements in the KEP character found among the desconstructed KP character? That is, are there any extraneous elements to this match?

Which came first the chicken or the egg?
Is it possible that Joseph examined the KP and used characters from it as inspiration to complete the GAEL?
