On a different thread examining the tale of Arthur Patton there seemed to be a lack of awareness of Church General Authorities telling lies in public discourses.
Are they correct or have some Church Leaders been...frugal with verifiable facts...?

Paul H. Dunn was subject to some kind of discipline for being frugal with the facts, and liberal with interpretation.
