History of Baptism According to LDS

Post by _Cardinal Biggles »

So, if I remember my LDS scriptures correctly, Adam was baptized, and Alma the Elder baptized people at the Waters of Mormon.

Is there any belief by LDS that baptism was practiced at any time in between these two events? Source?

The Mikveh comes to mind. Among others things, it was anciently part of the conversion to Judaism process.

It still is. However, most Jews would blanch at the comparison of the mikveh to baptism. There many other times (other than conversion) that a mikveh is called for in Judaism.
