Adam and Eve?
Do we believe that Adam and Eve were created perfect and did not sin before eating the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil and then they "fell"?

Welcome paulfisher!
By "we" I assume you mean the official doctrine of the LDS church, yes?

Yes, that's what Mormons believe.

Well then, we believe the same as all other Christians believe, although it is neither what the Bible nor the Book of Moses say. Very strange...

Mormon's also believe that:
- Adam and Eve were literally the first man and woman
- that they were 'created' circa 4,000 BC
- that they lived in the Garden of Eden which was in Missouri
- that Adam knowingly fell because Eve had fallen and he knew that God required him to fall too as part of the Plan of Salavation. So Adam didn't sin at all.
- they believe that Adam is the angel Michael despite the fact that they also believe Joseph Smith saw Adam AND Michael in a vision.

I hadn't noticed that before. Good catch! It's amazing what you read into things when you've been trained to do so.

Re: Adam and Eve?
the book of moses (as well as genesis, of course) also makes a pretty clear case for the garden of eden being in the middle east. or did illinois used to be known as assyria?

But is it not a logical conclusion, if not a blatant proposition, with Adam and Eve?
Genesis 1:27 - made in God's image, surely one must consider the image of God to be sinless.
And
Eph 4:24
"And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness
And"
Ecc 7:29 "Lo, this only have I found, that God hath made man upright; but they have
." (emphasis mine)sought out many inventions
whereas "upright" is clearly understood as "right and innocent", not standing erect.

No, I would not consider the image of God to be sinless or sinful.

I am not seeing the perfect bit.
