Raymond, Alberta — Local doctor and devout Mormon Gregory L. Smith confirmed Wednesday that he is taking very seriously a dispute between Mormon apologist William Schryver and critic Kevin Graham, giving the matter a great deal of thought and carefully weighing one side of the argument. "As a true believing Mormon, I need to give equal consideration to the person telling me what I want to hear before I side with him," said Smith, who told reporters the key to resolving these kinds of disputes in his mind is ensuring there is always an open channel of communication with one of the parties involved. "On the one hand, William presents a very compelling case, but on the same hand, William is the only person I'm willing to listen to." Smith added that he will make certain to ignore Graham's argument one more time before completely discounting it.

I try to be open-minded. When I was TBM, I used to carefully consider the opinion of someone like William, while also considering the Church's correlated position on the issue. Therefore, I considered at least two-sides of the story.

Satire can't be used for the discussion of serious topics?

Satire can't be used for the discussion of serious topics?

and what topic would that be?
are we to just make up things about people and consider it to be discussion starter?

I'll remember that when a parable is used for discussion.

The OP was not only humorous, it contained more than a grain of truth.

How could any rational person stay a believing Mormon if they really did investigate and understand both sides of such questions?

This is why Mormons remain stuck at approximately 0.1% of the world population.
