Please list the Book of Mormon scriptural reference against each one.


(This question is based on the Book of Mormon being purported to be a restoration of things lost from the Bible).

Uh, I don't think I can think of 5.

1. Children and those considered "unaccountable" have no need of baptism. They are covered by the Atonement. (Moroni 8)

The Fall was necessary and good (see 2 Nephi 2).

3. Many plain and precious things were taken out of the book of the Lamb. (1 Nephi 13:28)

4. God reveals his will to other prophets outside Israel (and in all nations) whom he commands to write his word, and these books will all be gathered in one. (2 Nephi 29:10-14; Alma 29:8)

6. The mode and prayer for administering the sacramental bread and wine. (Moroni 4 and 5)

7. Jesus Christ was preached and baptisms performed in his name prior to his birth. (Everywhere)

Where can I find the doctrine of families being together forever? I would like to quote from scripture in a eulogy to convey to those mourning that this is a core piece of LDS doctrine.

I believe there is an Old Testament verse, in Isaiah If I recall correctly, which shows families in the context of the millennium or the hereafter. Can't remember exactly where it is though.

Perhaps you're referring to Jeremiah 3: "At the same time, saith the Lord, will I be the God of all the families of Israel, and they shall be my people." This is written in the context of the gathering in the last days.
