Can an Apostle also be a Democrat...?

If I recall correctly, only Boyd Packer out of the current crop of Apostles is a Democrat.
All of the others are Republicans.
So, does a Democrat General Authority have a snowball's chance in a sauna of getting one of the top jobs?

From an essay by Todd Compton
Among the present-day General Authorities, the following are Democrats: Seventy Marlin Jensen; (and here's a surprise) Apostle Boyd K. Packer[55]; First Presidency counselor James E. Faust.[56]

You'd better come up with a link to a party affiliation form or I refuse to believe it. The link you provided is unsourced and I find the assertion here highly dubious. I'm pretty sure this is misinformation in this case. However, if you can prove it is true, bcspace might quit the Church.

And you can provide an official link showing he has Republican affiliation can you?

I'm looking for political events like fundraisers that he might have attended. Most people speculate he's a registered Republican and I would assume that as well. I find it very unlikely that he's a Democrat.

At least I'm not making the baseless unsourced assertion that you are. Given Boyd K Packer's speeches, your position seems unlikely to be true and most likely just misinformation.

I referenced and linked to an essay written by a credible author.
You...well....you...didn't.

And when you click on your source - it doesn't link to any information to prove the assertion is true. Linking to misinformation doesn't prove it is true. It just means you don't bother to check your sources and have no interest in presenting actual facts. But, that is no surprise coming from you.
