The word "scholarly" can be interpreted many different way. I leave it.
The word "respectful"? Er... um... if I respect then it is respectful? OK, I leave it...

POLITE.
Calling somebody "dumb" or "ignorant" is not polite.
Using these or similar words in most of one's comment is definitely not a polite behaviour.
