ESCONDIDO, Calif. — An Escondido man who was killed Saturday when his motorcycle was hit by a suspected drunken driver was a recently retired neurophysiologist who was preparing with his wife to serve an 18-month mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, the family said in a statement Monday.
Dr. Robin Vaughan's motorcycle collided with a Dodge Ram truck headed the wrong direction on Interstate 15 near Via Rancho Parkway in Escondido about 12:40 p.m. Saturday, the California Highway Patrol said.

should you not just list this thread as a new posted reply to this thread?
viewtopic.php?f=3&t=23156or the thread you judicially withdrew about the Saint who was killed on the tractor?
viewtopic.php?f=3&t=23656either way your agenda has less life than the proverbial horse

subby.
This guy was on the verge of dedicating his life to furthering the Gospel.
Why wasn't he saved?
This is a vald question.
If you feel it isn't then don't respond.
If the mods think it in bad taste they can remove it.

did not say it was in bad taste...its just a topic that has been discussed, almost ad nauseaum, on other thread and thus should be a continuation of those threads...unless you are meaning to revise your position.
As to the "validity" of the question, it is not a valid question. The tenets of Christian faith do not consider valid any "questioning" of God's means, motivations, and methods.
Your seeking clarification of "why" is either disingenuous or it stems from a sincere grief....the latter of which is unlikely.

So you're saying God could have prevented the mans death had He wanted to?

you are confused about the nature of God. You assume He is some sort of spectator of this world, wherein He pushes things one way and pulls things another in reaction.

I believe that God could have intervened: however, we do nor see the big picture. Many could come to a saving knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ (including those connected with the individual who caused the accident). We had a young man killed at our Bible Church. His wife was about to have their first baby. However, many were moved at the memorial service and funeral. So, who is to say the accident counted for nothing. We do fully believe this man is in heaven. He was a professed Christian and a strong leader. He really loved the Lord.

This is why I don't particularly like your version of God.
We supposedly come to earth to make decisions and to have agency yet God interferes in ways that lead to grief and suffering, like a cat toying with a mouse. Could you do that to your children?
