Mormon Dialogue and Discussion Board

Post by _Dcharle »

I have been on this board recently and find it full of budding apologists anxious to defend the church's honor. What has been others experience here? Is this board a pro-Mormon site?

Neutral. See the quark structure of the neutron.

You will not be banned because You are a devil's minion anti-mormon or You are a zealot TBM.

One can be banned for pictures only.

I think this thread How Did You Get Banned From MADB? gives a pretty good idea what that board is all about.

True Blue Mormons can't hack it here, as there is very little off limits or off topic, censorship and moderation.

Apart from those who want to put a picture on every post... Hey Ludwigm.
TBMs cannot control the common consenters, so retreat back to their safe houses.

I wish there were more of them here to defend their faith, but there seem to be more evangelical deceivers than Totally Brainwashed Mormons.

The difficulty TBM's have in coming here is that they are confronted with the reality that their religion is indefensible.

One major difference between boards is that here almost no on gets banned. As a result of the open moderation most TBMs leave. (The critics believe that is because the TBM cannot defend their position while TBMs generally feel piled upon - I think the truth is somewhere in the middle.)The opposite happens at that board. Eventually they will ban you if they view you as a critic or if you act poorly enough, it isn't if but when it will happen. They do have a few protected people whose actions are almost never called into question. The result is that both boards have lost most of their dissenting voices, neither of which serve as a meeting place for much meaningful discussion between the sides. It's a shame.

I am not sure how one goes about allowing free speech and at the same time create an environment of respect.

You would need to issue terroristic threats against the board itself or else, in the case of Ludwigm, post a cartoon with European-type humor.

In case you haven't noticed, ludwigm isn't banned.
