No matter which wins, God had His hand in it. If Obama, likely God is setting up the United States to be a third world country. If Romney wins, God may be setting up the Anti-Christ. It is really hard to say.

I guess the point I'm making is that Mormon's worldwide will credit God for Romney's victory and have that knowing "it's all part of the plan" look on their face.
That's fine, but what if he loses? Will that still be part of the plan?

My guess is that it will show how strongly Satan is working in the latter days; or that the time is not right; or win or lose, the plan was for the LDS church to get publicity; or the US is being allowed to ripen in its iniquity for a while longer; or ... any number of post-hoc rationalizations.

pretty elaborate assumption there Drift, and quite contrary to Mormon theology.....but take comfort in knowing that people like Nipper will think that, like Hitler, it will be part of a bigger plan to help Israel.

again, what plan are you talking about? are you confusing Mormonism for Calvinism?
1. Article of Faith #2 clearly removes any foundation for Predestination
2. Pre-mortal existence does likewise
3. Plan of Salvation affirms this as well
oh yes, and that pesky Agency, because without the power of avoiding evil and choosing good by free choice, one can not be accountable for their actions - whatever type of action it may be.
