Who has to choose between a Muslim and a Mormon for president.

Is there a rational, sane person who could be president?

Or is America anti-Atheists?

One might start by asking, how many countries were founded by atheists? How many towns were founded on atheism? How many schools were begun by atheists? How many orphanages, hospitals, and children's clubs were begun by atheists? Did atheists begin/promote Mother's Day, Father's Day, Veterans Day? How many schools, colleges and universites were founded by atheists. If your answer is none----perhaps, that answers your question. Atheists might consider themselves sane; however, they tend to look down at everyone else (at least that is the feeling one gets), and they do not seem to take the lead in problem solving ---- when it comes to average people. At least that is how I see it. Ridicule never fixed anything.

The post does beg the question. In which country are voters deciding between a Muslim and a Mormon for president?

Obama, I do not feel is a Muslim; however, he doesn't seem to be a christian either. I feel that Obama does feel a kinship towards Muslims because of his father and his heritage. I do not feel that Obama fully understands what freedom is. I know that freedom is not free and that governmental regulations cannot make anyone free. The truth shall make one free, but hiding or distorting the truth will not.

false dichotomy.

Being atheist does not mean that a person is sane and/or rational...it likely, given the evidence, means otherwise.
atheists are a dramatic minority in the world and even more of a minority would be a sane and rational atheist.
However, most sane and rational people quickly recognize the limiting value of just being "atheist".
That and most atheists are not personable not reasonable enough to actually get elected - atheists tend to be rather one dimensional.

History has proven that most of the world is "anti-atheist"...not anti-atheism, but anti-atheist...typically for the above mentioned reasons....just too bad we can burn 'em anymore.........yet

the most obvious one - is the freedom to NOT purchase health insurance.
But the more important one is why we have yet to see Gitmo closed (as was promised) - Indefinite Military Detention

and do not forget when he signed HR 347 which suppresses lawful protests just a little bit more by creating "free speech zones"

but i am sure you were well informed of such things...did you need any more examples of freedoms lost? or do you need to wait and see that Obama actually did not "kill" SOPA but just put it on hold....for now

The freedom of publically not considering the union of 2 men or two women in terms of marriage as a Christian business owner.

Well, the president has come out in support of same sex unions but he hardly has any real power to enact such legislation and he hasn't done tried to.
