Here is how I...let's say 'believe' for now... it works.

The Church has employee's who monitor the airwaves. These people are trawling along looking for potentially damaging articles and posts. When they come across an article that portrays the Church in a bad light they bring it to the attention of the PR department who can jump on it and react to try and mitigate the damage.

In terms of when these 'monitors' come across a site like this one, they will monitor it on a routine basis. In other words there is a rotation for them to come on as guests and review the posts and the topics etc. Where an individual poster puts some specific information in their post that identifies their geography and that post is a negative or seen as anti then the contents of that post are distributed to the Church Leaders in that geography or area.

These Leaders are then briefed to try and identify the individual within their midst and take appropriate action. Which may be quietly releasing them from their callings etc or, as in the case we see about MormonThink, then more severe penalties can be considered.

For anyone who has posted something defamatory and that potentially pin points which country, stake or congregation they are in, rest assured the Church Leaders in that area will have been sent a bulletin from COB containing your posts and they will be on the look out for the tell tale signs that will give you away.

What is the deal with sealings after excomunication? from what I hear you don't have to do it again? but you do have to get baptised?

and in kind...per his insistence that people provide proof and evidence for their "belief" of the Flood...
i have simply asked for citations with regards to that statements which are clearly and grammatically being put forth as statements of fact.

understandably if he would like to respond that those statements are just opinions or unfounded speculations, then ok.
I would just want any "lurkers" to avoid confusion from viewing the OP as containing actual facts.

hmm....not really any CFR on your link for the OP...there were some interesting links and anecdotes.....but......well thanks anyway

My computer has been running slow lately. I did some sleuthing around, and found spyware on it. ?????????

My tech person hinted that this might be the problem.

1 More point, if the church is using 'personal information' on members for their 'witch hunt', they best be conforming to 'data protection legislation'.

They do have their own 'legal department' so they should be well versed in international law.

Does 'GOD' really need a legal department?
