pretence, deception and ostentation?

Post by _PrickKicker »

Just eleven months ago, in January 2011, I resigned as a Mormon Bishop after discovering uncomfortable facts about its origins which I had not been taught in 47 years as a member.

Having resigned as bishop I agreed, under threat of excommunication, to avoid speaking about the difficult issues for the Church. Since either resignation from the Church or excommunication would have hurt my extended family, who are members too, I agreed to keep quiet.

I recently was introduced to this blog from a former Mormon Bishop who petitioned and continues to petition the General Authorities of the LDS church
for answers, for what should be simple issues to dismiss for men who hold the God given title of Prophet Seer and Revelator and yet seem unable to use such spiritual gifts and privileged knowledge,
to stem the descent of less privy members, who are grasping in the mist of darkness for the iron rod that seems to be corroding before their very eyes.

The time to Act is NOW!
PrickKicker: I used to be a Narrow minded, short sighted, Lying, Racist, Homophobic, Pious, Moron. But they were all behavioral traits that I had learnt through Mormonism.
