1. What would be the criteria within which we would determine which political philosophies have a greater or lesser congruence with the gospel?
2. Upon what basis and to what degree is gospel teaching and doctrine relevant to specific perennial and contemporary political questions and problems, such as:
a. The nature of freedom,
b. Political and individual liberty,
c. Property rights,
d. Theories and forms of economic and social
organization,
e. The tension between the individual and the group, between liberty and
equality, between personal morality and the moral diffusion of mass consciousness, and the psychology of collectivism.

The act of injecting politics into religion seems like a desecration of the sacred in order to promote the worldly. Keeping them separate is the wisest course of action. When the priest start touting the case of property rights, it makes them more partakers of Mammon than worshipers of God. When we render unto Caesar at the altar, if feels like when a cat drops a dead bird at our feet.

Free Market Capitalism is THE replication of God's economy as God Himself is a Free Market Capitalist. It's the only system wherein agency exists, is completely neutral, and where enticements towards good or evil can operate to the salvation of mankind. It's also the only system wherein a United Order can operate an be successful.
Thus the intersection between religion and politics occurs primarily in 2 Nephi 2 and wherever the war in heaven, the fall of Lucifer, or the purpose/reason of earth life is detailed. We are either free to choose salvation (FMC system) or someone is trying to force salvation on us (Liberalism) or someone is trying enslave us (Socialism/Dictatorship, often hand in hand with Liberalism).
Socialism, Liberalism, Dictatorship etc. are, by official LDS doctrinal definition, part of the church of the Devil.

Middle Eastern royal families know how to live in opulent style and maintaining this prestige is the Billionaire Saudi prince Alwaleed bin Talal, who has now inked a deal which makes him the owner of the most expensive private jet in the world. The Saudi prince will soon be accepting the delivery of an Airbus A380, which is widely accepted as the world’s largest passenger airliner. The luxury personal plane was commissioned by the Saudi billionaire in the year 2007 and at a final cost of $500 million, along with astounding customizations, the private jet will become a testament to the Prince’s definition of luxury and style. Taking five years in the design and development process, the double decker A380 will feature state of the art avionics and will also come with some of the most exquisite and one-off luxurious amenities possible on a ‘flying palace’. The Airbus A380 for prince Alwaleed bin Talal will feature ample space in the form of an airborne garage that will conveniently park his two luxury cars, which also happen to be top of the class Rolls Royce luxury sedans. Furthermore, the A380 will also sport an entire stable for horses and camels and even a hawk pen. However, the most astounding feature of the luxury private plane will be its prayer room that has been designed to automatically rotate, so as to keep the room always faced towards the holy city of Mecca.

The words
Socialism, Liberalism, Dictatorship can Old Testament be found in
Bible Dictionary, neither in
Guide to the Scriptures, nor in
Topical Guide.
I've found "dig" (under 'D')...
he who diggeth a pit for them shall fall into the same, D&C 109:25Please list the items of "official LDS doctrinal definition"...
...or should we find it in
"official sites" or in
"official documents" or in
"official hearsays around the world" ?

God's economy...
Amen. One is free to bring their own good or evil in this system and to do their own good or evil as well. This is exactly how God set up this world to operate.

Don't have to be specifically listed anywhere to be contrary to doctrine. However, the Bible Dictionary is not a doctrinal work anyway according to it's own preface and plus
you didn't look hard enough anyway. For example, in the Church's doctrinal primer on the Law of Consecration, Socialism is specifically mentioned (and excoriated):
Enrichment L - The Law of Consecration and Stewardship

Right, because ancient Hebrew civilization was well known for its Free Market Capitalism.

a. The nature of freedom,
man has free agency (libertarian freedom)
b. Political and individual liberty,
We are free to do what we want, but if we displease God (the great leader), he will torture us and destroy us.
c. Property rights,
God owns everything, we are serfs. The road to serfdom starts in the LDS chapel
d. Theories and forms of economic and social
organization,
"We believe in being subject to kings, presidents, rulers, and magistrates"..doesn't matter, we obey the law. we obey the great leader, if the great leader is our leader.
e. The tension between the individual and the
group, between liberty and equality, between personal
morality and the moral diffusion of mass consciousness.
and the psychology of collectivism.
the only tension between the individual and the group occurs when either of the aforementioned falls under the Church while the other party falls under banal outside society. There is no tension between an individual saints and a group of saints. The whole of a group of Saints is greater than the sum if its parts, indicating the Marxist idea of holism and collectivism is true.

Please give me the URL of preface... apparently I didn't look hard enough.
If one (me, if I may refer to an insignificant person) begins at "LDS.org", then follow Scriptures -> Study Helps -> Bible Dictionary menus, there is no introduction, no preface, no disclaimer, no "I am not doctrine", no nothing. It begins with -Aaron -Aaronic Priesthood -Ab -Abaddon keywords.
Unfortunately,
The United Order1. wasn't that voluntary free the way the manual describes it
2. didn't work then
3. doesn't work now
4. (my opinion...) will never work in US-Utah-SLC
I don't prefer socialism, but it worked long than United order...
...
If and when I quote somebody, I always use his/her name in the heading of quote...
