Leonard Arrington Diaries what to expect?

Leonard Arrington was the most controversial church historian to grace the halls of Tabernacle Square.
I would hope the author has honored his life with the most honest portrayal, and not from an apologetic's standpoint based on church doctrine. If the biographer is as scholarly as Arrington the historian, then it should be a good read of his life and contributions he made while church historian to the furtherance of truth and scholarly discourse.
