Is God changing?
I was reading some of Scott Peck about perfection.
Some may have this idea that perfection is a state in which once reached, there is no change - and that if there were change it would no longer be perfect.
Yet, is God a God of the living or the dead?
Are things that are dead (unchanging) more godly than things that are alive (changing)?

God always reflects the ideals of his adherents.
It is better to be a warrior in a garden, than a gardener at war.

The one true GOD is perfect in ALL HIS characteristics. His ideals are not manipulated by those who choose to worship Him. God through Christ brings those who believe on Him towards being more Christlike. The opposite is never true.

We are happy to have you, who is the Only True Prophet of Him.
And conveying the Only True Translation of His Words.
Literal translation. Youngs' or whoever.
Do you know any other language than English?
There is no such thing as literal translation...
Please look at the simple word "yet" translated to Hungarian...

That's what Jesus taught... "The kingdom of God is within you."
So, Steelhead, I assume you believe God does change.
And while I'm at it, do you see God as a tyranical grandpa in the sky, or a process fulfilling itself (creation, love)?

Ok, so you believe that God is unchanging, right?
Yet, you specified that it's God's ideals (not our ideals) that are unchanging.
I accept that there are some objective (unchanging) truths, yet I also acknowledge that this universe is perspective-based.
God is "I AM ThAT I AM" - which Leibniz also theorized such a universe based on consciousness.
So, if we cannot help but perceive God through our subjectively limited perspectives, maybe it is our consciousness that changes, not the objective truth (God) that is being considered from different perspectives.
What do you think? :)

The reality is that an individual is saved by GOD's grace through faith that GOD Himself bestows through the moving of the Holy Spirit. It is not our perceptions that save us nor our perspectives. This is how a Christian can rest assured of his salvation. A Christian does in fact become aware of GOD as he learns to place more and more faith in God's leading.

Thanks, LittleNipper.
I like how you focused on God.
I realized today, in listening to discussion about Jesus - that I resonate more if I just imagine God (Jesus is God to many) rather than mental gymnastics about God requiring murder/human sacrifice scapegoating.

I see God as a made up construct that represent the ideals and mores of those who "believe."

Which are ever-changing.
I challenge anyone to list an absolute. unchanging religious truth. Something that has always been and always will be objectively true.
