Mitt Romney on the news today
Romney talks about Trump's hatred for Mexicans yet his religious leaders have told there followers not to Marry Mexicans and blacks .
Even before the migration to Mexico had begun, Apostle Brigham Young, Jr. had warned members of the Church living in Arizona ‘that the blood of Cain was more predominant in these Mexicans than that of Israel.’ For this reason he ‘condemned the mixing’ of Mormons with ‘outsiders.’” - B. Carmon Hardy, “Cultural ‘Encystment’ as a Cause of the Exodus from Mexico in 1912,” Pacific Historical Review, v. 34, 1965, p. 447
"Shall I tell you the law of God in regard to the African race? If the white man who belongs to the chosen seed mixes his blood with the seed of Cain, the penalty, under the law of God, is death on the spot. This will always be so." (Brigham Young, Journal of Discourses, Volume 10, page 110.)
"Let us consider the great mercy of God for a moment. a Chinese, born in China with a dark skin, and with all the handicaps of that race seems to have little opportunity. but think of the mercy of god to Chinese people who are willing to accept the gospel. In spite of whatever they might have done in the pre-existence to justify being born over there as Chinamen, if they now, in this life, accept the gospel and live it the rest of their lives they can have the Priesthood, go to the temple and receive endowments and sealings, and that means they can have exaltation. Isn't the mercy of God marvelous?
Think of the Negro, cursed as to the priesthood... This Negro, who in the pre-existence lived the type of life which justified the Lord in sending him to the earth in the lineage of Cain with a black skin, and possibly being born in darkest Africa--if that Negro is willing when he hears the gospel to accept it, he may have many of the blessings of the gospel. In spite of all he did in the pre-existent life, the Lord is willing, if the Negro accepts the gospel with real, sincerer faith, and is really converted, to give him the blessing of baptism and the gift of the Holy Ghost. If that Negro is faithful all his days, he can and will enter the celestial kingdom. He will go there as a servant, but he will get celestial glory. (Race Problems--As They Affect The Church, An address by Mark E. Petersen at the Convention of Teachers of Religion on the College level; Brigham Young University, Provo, Utah, August 27, 1954.)
Mitt sounds like a self-righteous bigot complaining about Trump, yet ignoring his religions bigotry

Yes I'm a Christian saved by GRACE through the Blood Atonement of Jesus shed on the Cross
1 Nephi 11:33
And I, Nephi, saw that he was lifted up upon the cross and slain for the sins of the world.
Doctrine and Covenants section 132:
37 Abraham received concubines, and they bore him children; and it was accounted unto him for righteousness, because they were given unto him, and he abode in my law; as Isaac also and Jacob did none other things than that which they were commanded; and because they did none other things than that which they were commanded, they have entered into their exaltation, according to the promises, and sit upon thrones, and are not angels but are gods.
Does any one here agree Isaac and Jacob are now gods like Mormon faux scripture teaches

Ha! Mormons love the little convert Mexican children. They suffer them to come unto the Spanish-speaking branches unless of course their parents are gay.

Re: Mitt Romney on the news today
Mittens,
I find it hard to call myself Christian. Although I believe in the teachings of Christ I do not follow the gospel. I find that I can not turn the other cheek or love my fellow man. I let the behavior of others dictate how I treat them.
There is no such thing as the atonement. The work which Jesus did on the earth was done before He was killed. He was killed because we are killers.
Joh_17:4 I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do.
Also Ezekiel made a blunt statement about how each of us is responsible for our own righteousness.
Eze_14:14 Though these three men, Noah, Daniel, and Job, were in it, they should deliver but their own souls by their righteousness, saith the Lord GOD.
Eze_14:20 Though Noah, Daniel, and Job, were in it, as I live, saith the Lord GOD, they shall deliver neither son nor daughter; they shall but deliver their own souls by their righteousness.
Eze_18:20 The soul that sinneth, it shall die. The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son: the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him.
Eze_18:22 All his transgressions that he hath committed, they shall not be mentioned unto him: in his righteousness that he hath done he shall live.
Eze_18:24 But when the righteous turneth away from his righteousness, and committeth iniquity, and doeth according to all the abominations that the wicked man doeth, shall he live? All his righteousness that he hath done shall not be mentioned: in his trespass that he hath trespassed, and in his sin that he hath sinned, in them shall he die.
Pretty clear that God does not wipe away sin.
Now I will say that the teachings of Jesus will one day turn our hearts away from sin. In that aspect Jesus saves us from sin. His teachings will save us not His death. We may suffer many probations until the day comes that we embrace the teachings of Jesus. This is hinted at in many places in scripture. Here is one.
Act_13:35 Wherefore he saith also in another psalm, Thou shalt not suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.
Act_13:36 For David, after he had served his own generation by the will of God, fell on sleep, and was laid unto his fathers, and saw corruption:
Act_13:37 But he, whom God raised again, saw no corruption.
Corruption is a life in the flesh. Jesus will not come back in mortal flesh. But we like David do come back in mortal flesh.
And here
Rev_3:12 Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name.
Once we overcome the evil in the world we no longer go out in mortal flesh back to the earth.

So, you have taken upon yourself the name of Christ by calling yourself a Christian. Here are just a few of things Christ taught:
John 8:7 So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.
Matthew 7:1 Judge not, that ye be not judged.
Matthew 7:3 And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother’s eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?
Matthew 22:39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.
How do you justify saying this about Mitt: "Mitt sounds like a self-righteous bigot complaining about Trump, yet ignoring his religions bigotry", when you yourself ignore the teachings of Christ?

Re: Mitt Romney on the news today
To be fair, what Mitt Romney says today isn't necessarily the position he will take tomorrow.
In fact, it almost certainly won't be.

“When we are confronted with evidence that challenges our deeply held beliefs we are more likely to reframe the evidence than we are to alter our beliefs. We simply invent new reasons, new justifications, new explanations. Sometimes we ignore the evidence altogether.” (Mathew Syed 'Black Box Thinking')

This is obvious contrary to the Book of Mormon and Bible .
1 Nephi 13:
41 And they must come according to the words which shall be established by the mouth of the Lamb; and the words of the Lamb shall be made known in the records of thy seed, as well as in the records of the twelve apostles of the Lamb; wherefore they both shall be established in one; for there is one God and one Shepherd over all the earth.

I think it was actually Brigham Young who put D&C 132 into the D&C; it was added AFTER Joseph's death. Brigham was not a True Messenger; he manufactured a lot of crap in order to promote his own agenda. Meanwhile, there are lots of contradictions in the Bible as well; they don't only exist in accepted LDS canon outside of the Bible.
It is amazing to watch how you so diligently put down the LDS Church when your own belief system suffers from the very same types of inconsistencies; which manifests personal actions on your part which are in direct conflict with Christ's teachings. Meanwhile, you never do try to answer the questions posed to you, though you continue to point out the problems you have with the LDS. Meh....so be it.

Mittens, sometimes you give the impression that you read nobodies posts here but your own. If your read a bit more broadly you would notice that very few if anybody here believes in DC 132.
