Chapter 2

1 And it came to pass that the Lord spake unto Moses, saying: Behold, I reveal unto you concerning this heaven, and this earth; write the words which I speak. I am the Beginning and the End, the Almighty God; by mine Only Begotten I created these things; yea, in the beginning I created the heaven, and the earth upon which thou standest.

2 And the earth was without form, and void; and I caused darkness to come up upon the face of the deep; and my Spirit moved upon the face of the water; for I am God.

3 And I, God, said: Let there be light; and there was light.

4 And I, God, saw the light; and that light was good. And I, God, divided the light from the darkness.

5 And I, God, called the light Day; and the darkness, I called Night; and this I did by the word of my power, and it was done as I spake; and the evening and the morning were the first day.

9 And I, God, said: Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and it was so; and I, God, said: Let there be dry land; and it was so.

10 And I, God, called the dry land Earth; and the gathering together of the waters, called I the Sea; and I, God, saw that all things which I had made were good.

11 And I, God, said: Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, the fruit tree yielding fruit, after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed should be in itself upon the earth, and it was so even as I spake.

13 And the evening and the morning were the third day.

14 And I, God, said: Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven, to divide the day from the night, and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and for years;

15 And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth; and it was so.

16 And I, God, made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night, and the greater light was the sun, and the lesser light was the moon; and the stars also were made even according to my word.

27 And I, God, created man in mine own image, in the image of mine Only Begotten created I him; male and female created I them.

8 And I, the Lord God, planted a garden eastward in Eden, and there I put the man whom I had formed.

Chapter 4

The Gods plan the creation of the earth and all life thereon—Their plans for the six days of creation are set forth.

Genesis 1

The Mormon quad has several different creation accounts , the Biblical account projects the Trinity account of ONE GOD in plural persons , the Book of Moses projects a man made account of one god and one person while the Book of Mormon projects a PAGAN idea of many gods



The Bible does teach ONE GOD was involved

Isa. 44:24

“I am the LORD, who makes all things,

Who stretches out the heavens all alone,

Who spreads abroad the earth by Myself;

The Bible does teach man is made in God’s image he is one being yet 3 parts, like God who is three separate and distinct persons yet One GOD

1 Thessalonians 5

23 And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

The Great Elohim. Elohim is a Hebrew word meaning "gods." It is commonly used by the Saints as a title for God the Father.

Exodus 18
11 Now I know that the LORD is greater than all gods: for in the thing wherein they dealt proudly he was above them.

What's interesting about Elohim the above verse is plural and the below verse is singular depending on the context the English word deer is like that also . However Joseph Smith taught it was always to be plural. So if he is correct Exodus 20:2 should read I am the LORD thy Gods, looks like refuted Joseph Smith JR

Exodus 20
2 I am the LORD thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.

So you're using one set of made up stories to 'refute' another one? Great racket. While you're at it, you need to refute the creation stories of all the religions that aren't part of the Judeo-Christian club. I'll wait.

Did you learn Hebrew at a Yeshiva? I didn't think so. They would see your interpretations a bit differently.

53 Three years previous to the death of Adam, he called Seth, Enos, Cainan, Mahalaleel, Jared, Enoch, and Methuselah, who were all high priests, with the residue of his posterity who were righteous, into the valley of Adam-ondi-Ahman, and there bestowed upon them his last blessing.





Section 116

1 Spring Hill is named by the Lord Adam-ondi-Ahman, because, said he, it is the place where Adam shall come to visit his people, or the Ancient of Days shall sit, as spoken of by Daniel the prophet.

The plains of Olaha Shinehah, or the place where Adam dwelt, must be a part of, or in the vicinity of Adam-ondi-Ahman. This name Olaha Shinehah, may be, and in all probability is, from the language of Adam. We may without great controversy believe that this is the name which Adam gave to this place, at least we may venture this as a probable guess. Shinehah, according to the Book of Abraham, is the name given to the sun. (Abraham 3:13.) It is the name applied to Kirtland when the Lord desired in a revelation to hide its identity. (D&C 82:1) Elder Janne M. Sjodahl commenting on the name, Olaha Shinehah, has said: “Shinehah means sun, and Olaha is possibly, a variant of the word Olea, which is ‘the moon.’ (Abraham 3:13.) If so the plains of Olaha Shinehah would be the Plains of the Moon and the Sun, so called, perhaps because of astronomical observations there made.” We learn from the writings of Moses that the Lord revealed to the ancients great knowledge concerning the stars, and Abraham by revelations and through the Urim and Thummim received wonderful information concerning the heavens and the governing planets, or stars. It was also revealed by the Prophet Joseph Smith that Methuselah was acquainted with the stars as were others of the ante diluvian prophets including Adam. So it may be reasonable that here in this valley important information was made known anciently in relation to the stars of our universe.
