I will likely be dropping out of AoU again ...
Post:
All, I want you all to know that there is a good chance that I will be dropping my membership in AoU -- again already.
Why? Because no matter if I am one of the cofounders of AoU, and no matter if I was its' first president, and no matter that I am a bonfire dues-paying member -- there are two individuals who think it just fine to add content to the website without consulting another member (namely me since I am the only other official member at this point) and also they will remove content that others may have added as if they think they rule it over them and need not consult with them prior to making changes.
I think we may have fundamental differences that may not be reconcilable.
Oh, and all that b***s*** about being able to edit the wiki is just that -- b***s***. You will be able to edit only what these two guys will want you to edit. `Seems now the admins have removed my privileges to edit certain pages -- after I made them effective and pretty for them. Oh, and my ability to add images is now gone. I don't mind being corrected if I've posted something illegal or improper -- but to remove my privilages?
For instance, I can no longer edit these pages:
http://atheists-of-utah.org/doku.php?id=
http://atheists-of-utah.org/doku.php?id=about_us
http://atheists-of-utah.org/doku.php?id=community
http://atheists-of-utah.org/doku.php?id=contact_us
http://atheists-of-utah.org/doku.php?id=donations
http://atheists-of-utah.org/doku.php?id=faq
http://atheists-of-utah.org/doku.php?id=media
http://atheists-of-utah.org/doku.php?id=member_pages (I had to fight for this page)
http://atheists-of-utah.org/doku.php?id=store
Don't they look nice, though -- after I made MOST of them pretty much everything they are?
And the links to all the pics I posted on my personal page are now broken. See for yourself: http://atheists-of-utah.org/doku.php?id ... skyatheist
I've just finished checking the entire site for pages that I CAN edit. I've been reduced to only two:
http://atheists-of-utah.org/doku.php?id ... r:calendar
http://atheists-of-utah.org/doku.php?id=links
And all this no matter that these guys wouldn't be in the position they're in now if it weren't for me. I also suspect that the website might be being set up to line somebody's pockets with cash. I want to see an accounting of every penny this website takes in for AoU.
Admins, it's one thing to communicate and be reasonably persuasive -- but it's quite another to be controlling -- and especially within an organization that claims on it's welcome page to be "democratically-run."
What next?

Sounds like the admins there may be underground Ma&D mods. Welcome.
I detest my loose style and my libertine sentiments. I thank God, who has removed from my eyes the veil...

Did I miss the opening scene for this soap opera? Because I am clueless as to what this is referencing, what it has to do with MDB, and what we're supposed to do about it.
That whooshing sound you heard was this flying right over my head. Anyone care to enlighten me? (maybe on a new thread?)

Actually, it does sound as if they are running it as a democracy. In a democracy, the majority rules. Two versus one seems to have played out pretty accurately.
