Shades,
There's a post here about an article by Kevin Barney. One of the posters sent me a copy of it and said they didn't think they should post the entire article because it's copyrighted material. Am I or am I not permitted to post the article, with proper attribution under the principles of "fair use"?
Gaz also posted an article by Kerry Shirts. Is it okay to use it by simply attributing it to him or should there be a link?

You can't just post the whole thing and walk away. If you post it for the purpose of critical commentary, however, then you're perfectly fine. (Specifically, the person who posts the article should analyze and comment on it, not just post it and leave it for others with something like, "what does everyone think?")

There's no such thing as too much attribution. If you can do both, then by all means, do both.

Shades,
I wasn't going to post it and "walk away". I was planning (unless I become bored with the topic) to post it and comment within various sections. That sounds like it fits the criteria for fair use. Thanks. And I agree with Liz that this information should be pinned to the top for people to refer to. Thanks for doing that, Liz.

And you're absolutely right about that. The scenario you described is indeed fair use.

You're probably right.
Remedies are underway.
