For shame Scratch.

Honestly, Gaz, how naïve are you? That is like saying that "pussy" just means "cat".

No, Scratch isn't reading anything into it. I explained the specific usage of Runtu/Huevo in Bolivia. We missionaries thought it was funny, except for one guy who got the crap beaten out of him because he got angry at a bunch of communist demonstrators who were changing "huevo! huevo! huevo!" at him (that's another good story I'll have to share sometime). But for the most part, we missionaries appropriated the word and called each other things like "Elder Huevo" or "Estimado Runtu." It wasn't meant as derogatory or crude. Just a pleasant little memory from days gone by.

The trick was to never let it bother us. If people called us "runtu" to our faces, we'd simply reply, "Janiwu entendiki" (Quechea for "I don't understand you"). It usually worked.

Its fun to pick at Scratch.

Um... in my world, pussy does mean cat. As in, pussycat.

It must be a hick thing.

Do you suppose if I went in a Mexican café and ordered Huevos Rancheros, they would look at me as though I came off of Brokeback Mountain?
