Due to the Stake President's cancellation of the Disciplinary Council on Sept. 30th for David Twede, managing editor of MormonThink, http://www.postmormon.org/exp_e/index.p ... 88/#554551, the shows of support are also cancelled that were scheduled for this Saturday, Sept. 29th.
They were scheduled for 5:00 pm MT at the SLC temple, and 7:00 pm ET at the Orlando temple. Both are now cancelled.

Given that David's court date is merely postponed until the travelling Bishop is available, should the shows of support be likewise merely postponed?

Re: Twede shows-of-support are cancelled
I think that LDS Church 'postponed' Sunday's inquisition because of the bad publicity it was generating, particularly in the midst of the Mittster's campaign, but moreso because of the fear that the shows of support at the SLC and Orlando temples would generate news coverage that could have ended up on the national nightly news broadcasts.
The bad press about the scheduling of the inquisition had already taken place. But what could be prevented by canceling Sunday's inquisition were the public shows of support for Twede outside of two Mormon temples. The LDS Church, and the Romney campaign, certainly did not want MORE bad press.
So, congratulations for organizing, visibly on the net and elsewhere, the shows of support. Even without taking place, they had their effect--the LDS Church has chilled out as a result of those efforts and its not wanting more negative publicity for its purging witch hunt.
