I couldn't find any mention of that elsewhere. Pretty sure HQ would close down the Temple for the remainder of the year rather than let a gay chorus perform at its Visitors Center.

Yes Visitor's center all of december in conjunction with their million lights display put on every year. with temple closed this yearly activity is carried out to show Mormons are friendly neighbors and stalwart DC community members- usually they also have about 200 nativity setups from different countries and decorate about 10 huge christmas trees in different seasonal themes.

no tickets required- parking by elders quorum - sister missionaries everywhere and on display!

your mileage my vary but it is best to get there right at sunset listen to the music, checkout the nativity setup outside and inside, avoid the missionary come on! enjoy the lights!
