I don't recall EVER using the term "loincloth"...
I used the words "Skins" and "Garments" which are terms described in the scriptures related to righteousness, light and darkness, etc.

At least to my limited understanding it appears unlikely in the extreme that the church will ever apologize for the ban on Negroes holding the priesthood. It is not just that the ban helped people to feel special. An apology would mean that the ban was wrong. How can the church admit that the leaders were so deeply committed to being wrong, teaching something that is wrong, and setting the church up as a standard barer for a principal which is wrong?

The story will remain that the ban was Gods will, that the prophet advanced Gods will and it was God who decided that the time to end the ban had come.

Negros of the Islands, India, parts of Central/South America, etc. etc. just as "Negro" as ANY "Negro" WERE given the Priesthood.
The ban ONLY applied to the specific lineages based in Africa. Period.

Why do you people continue to willfully state falsehoods when corrected with the actual Facts?
The occasional human fallibility of history by some LDS, including your interpretations of some of it, is irrelevant to what the Churches ACTUAL POLICY was!

Thanks for posting all this racist BS. It just goes to show how tone deaf Mormons can be. I was raised being told the brown skin of my family was because of the lamanite curse. Hell I had a Prophet tell me directly I was lamanite. So before the shift to the BS of “shirts” as skins can have any validity how about a church apology for the two hundred year mistake to Native Americans.

Brown skin was a "sign" of the curse, not the actual curse because of all the inter-marrying the Lamanites did, the living more primitively, and rebellion from the Gospel, in contrast to the Nephites at the time.

So what if a prophet said you were a Lamanite. You do know the Lamanites were the GOOD GUYS at the end?
