Understatement. He's a committed apologist for a demonstrably corrupt multi-100-billion-dollar corporation that pretends to "speak for Jesus."

Wonder if SUU will have Cedar City police and various Elders Quorums members checking for rainbow flags at the entrance to the America First Event Center?

The Church and State will wish this condemnation of the LGBTQ community and repudiation of "woke" education to go off without a hitch. Elder Holland can send forth these new graduates to be morally clean and with a reminder to pay their tithing.

Incidentally, Thomas Monson was the graduation speaker in 2009.

It looks like SUU President, Mindy Benson held a large meeting over this issue. It now looks like one of two compromises might be made: that either Holland be replaced with another LDS leader of comparable accomplishments or that a second speaker who is from the LGBTQ community be added to the program.

This should be very interesting. I would love to see a prominent LGTBQ community member speak right after Jeffrey "Musket Fire" Holland.

No reason to think Elder Uchtdorf would have an ax to grind against any group of students or faculty. At least he would not enter the America First Center in a stupor of thought with his muskets blazing, and he certainly would not have a DezNat honor guard.

SUU has confirmed that Elder Holland will be their speaker and that they have asked that Holland upgrade "firing their muskets" to "firing their Howitzers".

Some deranged elderly-looking guy briefly disrupted the meeting yelling, "Elder Holland and President Putin should work together in bombing Ukraine". He was described by campus security as being one of the local kooks.
