The Catholic Church just announced that gay men can enter training for the priesthood:

I wonder if the LDS church has ever allowed an openly gay man to rise through the ranks of their own “priesthood” beyond the lowest level? After all, if these men obey the law of chastity are they not just as worthy as straight men?
Something tells me there may be an unspoken rule within the Mormon church that they are not.
