Ahh yes, a fruitful poster for an amateur. Fruitful indeed.
If you'll check my prior post, I admit to being an amateur. I don't get paid to post on boards like this. But, if you want to keep telling me what I already know, carry on!
P
Amateur was the wrong word. a more apt description is sophomoric.
Well, that's inaccurate. I went beyond my collegiate sophomore year.
Out of curiosity, has anyone had to fall on their sword over there claiming that Dr. Peterson's displeasure was not the reason for the thread being shut down?
Cal said she reported the thread to help out the mods.
And now I'm mad at myself for commenting that it appeared that DCP's thread was also personal. After a page of silly comments about it, one of the mods shut it down.
Arrg. If I had kept my mouth shut, we could have enjoyed the spectacle for pages.
We hate to seem like we don’t trust every nut with a story, but there’s evidence we can point to, and dance while shouting taunting phrases.

Sigh.
The "I Got A Weird Email About Some Guy Named 'freedom'..." thread was closed down right after I posted on it.
It is now inevitable that at least one or two message boards will breathlessly discuss how, yet again, a thread was shut down to protect me (from the mighty Talmage Bachman), or to save me from further embarrassing myself, or because I expressed a whiff of displeasure, or because I demanded such action, or some combination of the foregoing.
Denying it won't do me any good, even though it's not true.
Then I'll deny it. We weren't protecting Dr. Peterson. The thread was shut down because it was personal.
This was the second thread started directly by Peterson that is quoted in the original posting. The first thread was started by Bachman and it was closed down too. Hope this helps.

The Moderators there have closed down two of the Discussion Threads that Tal Bachman started over there to respond to the false allegations that were made against him, by one of the Posters there named 'Freedom' on their Board. Yet those same Moderators over there, still have not censored that Message that was Posted by 'Freedom' that made a few false allegations against Tal Bachman over there. Here is the URL Address to that Discussion Thread, which is Page#4 of that Thread, where you can find Freedom's Post there still intact without any censoring of it yet. http://www.mormonapologetics.org/index. ... 1045&st=60
And these are the same Moderators over there, who censured a Post of mine, and reprimanded me when I just posted a link to Kevin Graham's Message Board last October over there. Yet these same Moderators still have not reprimanded ‘Freedom’ over there.

OK, one of the Threads that was started by Tal Bachman over there that was closed, just got re-opened by the Moderator there named 'Orpheus' over there. Here is what Orpheus Posted over there:
Orpheus, Today, 10:37 PM:
I'm reopening this because I missed all the fun and I have a question. I admit I just skimmed the thread about a poster named Freedom becaues it was 4 pages long. The thread went into giggling and links to You Tube.
How many pages are required for anybody to feel they had a chance to respond? I'm curious to see what our regulars think.
And here is a Message Posted by a Poster there named 'Not quite me' in response to what 'Charity' Posted there:

Understanding what it takes to keep a board from sinking into the mire, I appreciate what the mods do here. I have had my hand slapped by the mods, and repented quickly. It has been my experience that those who come on with a new topic about mod behavior, particularly complaining they have not been treated fairly, are not inquiring honestly, but trying to stir up trouble.
Oh, yes. Four pages is about 2 pages too lenient.
I don't know. If someone had made false allegations about me on a board, I'm quite certain I'd go over to that board and try to get to the bottom of it. I don't think Tal's doing so has anything to do with stirring up trouble. If anyone stirred up trouble, it was the person making the allegations in the first place.
And by the way, since Freedom hasn't responded, can we not assume that he/she is not willing to back the allegations? Those posts, I would think, should be removed from the board or at least noted that the allegations may not be true.
