Much thanks for the welcome , I think I will enjoy.
Julie :)
We're a little short on LDS here. Do you think any of the LDS from Tribtalk will come?
I remember you from that board. Welcome. :-)

This is where Dr. Shade's problem will begin to show itself. If the board lacks LDS a few posters and is overweighted with critics, the board will become one more haven for critics with the LDS posters getting the heave oh due to climate change or migrating away to happier fields.
It is not easy to get a healthy balance and keep the subject or board civil and balanced. However, the celestial room will need to be watched like a hawk to protect the LDS posters.
Good Luck Shades in this endeavor!

I have sent pm's to many on tribtalk and suggested they check the MD forum out and many have said they will do so. Hope to get to know many of you and look forward to less censorship here.
P.S. If you have a problem with any of the new comers--(Polygamy Porter is to blame). :) J/K!!
Cheers,

Hello ALL,
I'm PeskyAtheist. I'm being blamed (credited?) for the demise of the forum "Bridging The Religious Divide" in TribTalk, but I'm NOT to blame. I'm being framed. And now I'm being harrassed via instant messages & email by the framers. There have been wrongs committed alright, but not by me -- unless telling the truth and pointing out possible frauds and perverts is wrong. I'm thinking that I should go to the police, but then again -- most of the police in Utah are Mormons. Oh, what luck . . .
I'm thinking that I really should post those PM's and emails here. Should I?
Nice to meet you all,
Pesky

Greetings and salutations to both Pesky Atheist and Julie! You are most welcome here, and it is a delight to see you both on the board.
I know from experience that professional LDS apologists are fond of playing dirty. For example, many here bore witness to Chief apologist Prof. Daniel C. Peterson attempting to smear notable LDS historian Mike Quinn on several occasions. (It seemed that Prof. Peterson, who has said elsewhere that he is an "agent" for the Strengthening the Members Committee, was guilty of gossipmongering about Quinn's sexuality.)
So, I for one am rather curious about this "dirt" on this SHIELDS apologist....
In any case, a hearty welcome to you!

The strangely paradoxical thing is that he/she would even care about me or ANY issue, given that he is an athiest. What is the passion that drives someone when there is no purpose to existence (other than meaningless personal perception), given an athiestic view of life? Even the passionate issues on your web site seem really quite silly because from an athiests viewpoint, ultimately nothing really matters. No amount of rationalizing is ever going to make up the difference. Ah, well, I guess I could go on and on about this, but I will forbear.
