Indeed. I have the same experience often with work. I'll build up a relationship with someone on the phone, and I'm always surprised when I meet them in person (they never match the image in my noodle).
The first time I posted my age over on MA&D, Bluebell was shocked as she had thought I was in my late 50's. I don't know how people develope this image of me being older. I figured my humor would make people think I was in my teens.

Beastie, that guy actually looks similar to Richard Abanes.
No joke.
I'm a believer!!!
;)
(ps, "that guy" is Josh Bernstein of "Digging for the Truth", so not only is he flat out gorgeous, but he's (sort of) an archaeologist to boot, hence, making him the perfect man....
with the one notable exception of my one true love soulmate, of course)

Steuss,
I also thought you were older. Perhaps it's the psychedelic subliminal message of your avatar...tricking me into thinking you lived through the sixties.

It might be the smell.

Believe me... I did. ;-)

I'm still gobsmacked. I'm going to have to completely retool my "Dr. Steuss" mental file.
Next thing someone will post proof that The Dude looks nothing like a disheveled Jeff Bridges. And if moksha isn't a sentient and fig leaf-wearing penguin, my world will utterly collapse.
Wait a minute! The whole point of this thread was:
Dr. Steuss and Alby sitting in a tree!!! Tee hee!!!
