Here is the longer version of this video for those who are interested. Ballard and Scott really seem unsure of this whole thing.
The negative internet sites about Mormonism must be making a big dent in missionary work. This looks like their response. They underestimate the power of the internet. The church has lost it's ability to control information about church history, doctrines, etc. There is nothing they can do about it except appeal to human emotion.

I was reading A Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man last night, and the following passage made me think of this video.
Even the legendary craft of the company, a craft subtler and more secret than its fabled books of secret sublte wisdom, had not fired his soul with the energy of apostleship. It seemed as if he used the shifts and lore and cunning of the world, as bidden to do, for the greater glory of God, without joy in their handling or hatred of that in them which was evil but turning them, with a firm gesture of obedience, back upopn themselves: and for all this silent service it seemed as if he loved not at all the master and little, if at all, the ends he served.
It’s relatively easy to agree that only Homo sapiens can speak about things that don’t really exist, and believe six impossible things before breakfast. You could never convince a monkey to give you a banana by promising him limitless bananas after death in monkey heaven.
