I go in spurts on MAD. I've posted some stuff there in the last week, and I think this spurt is about over. I asked a pretty inocuous question: If you could ask Joseph Smith one question, what would it be? That thread resulted in Bond's being warned (or was it banned?) and the thread being shut down for being inflammatory. Sigh. I really don't know what you're supposed to do when you can't ask an innocent question without being called inflammatory.

I'm convinced that their moderation policies will end up killing off that board in the end. As it is, most of the interesting folks have fled or been banned. But it's their board and they can do what they want with it.

That's right! I forgot they unbanned you.

It is their board. They have made a huge point of it being privately owned, particularly since they officially separated from FAIR.

Frankly, I'm glad they did that. The true colors of the Mods/Board Owners have come out in spades.

Ditto.

They banned me. I don't go there.

For how long is anyone's guess. LOL

It definitely has a different sensibility to it than it used to when it was FAIR (pun definitely not intended). I'm not complaining about their moderation. It's not exactly a secret how they go about things, so I'm there voluntarily. I get the opinion, though, that some people would really like me gone. Oh, well. So stay over here where you're not only welcomed, but appreciated.

why don't they just use these terms: probation, disfellowshiped, or excommunicated: being banned is excommunication from the board...but there is no jury or due process. I got banned for posting that Joseph was holding the door with one of the partridge sisters in the room and Emma was pushing on the door. I read this many times regarding Mormon polygamy. I stated some history and Boom, I was gone.

Thanks. I know. I don't know what it is about that place that occasionally draws me in. I thought it was hilarious that when I did go back and openly stated who I was and why I was back (and after the mods set out a long list of things I was not allowed to do if I wanted to stay), a certain someone complained that I was sneaking in, like a sockpuppet. Oh, well.

I didn't realize The Partridge Family was that old.

Please tell me he went for Susan Dey and not the young one...
