Well okay... I think debate should be kept out of the "social hall" area. Whatever it was prior to the "social hall" (I can't recall the name) had a thread of mine that became very personal. It was disappointing to go in there for pats on the backs and high fives and get a grump in your thread. Of course my thread was closed.... a few of them were.

I don't really care one way or another there. Most of the people there say the same thing. There is so much like mindedness going on there, that I get hardly anything from it anyhow... but, I found it rather dumb for him to attack me after I apologized in both threads and tried to gracefully back out.

I read this and it says the following: "all plants are granted to you to use for health and creation (manufacturing). Use them when the time is correct; use them wisely and with great thanks."

Be sure to quote that scripture, and the corresponding interpretation, to the arresting officer and/or the judge. I'm sure they'll fully understand.

Perhaps it is not what you say, but where you say it. It is well known that the taint of this board sticks to you over there and makes even silliness seem like evilness incarnate.

What to do? Never try to explain yourself. That gets their dander up.

I understand the legal ramifications of our actions here.

Rasta's can legally possess and smoke pot in America. The only thing they can't do is import it (as there is nothing in their doctrinal tenets that mandates such). The Dude could probably hook up the Supreme Court ruling (if he still knows where to find it) as he is the one that showed it to me.

Good for you and your wife!

Here comes the exmo to mo scolding though - The church dictates that breaking the law is bad, mmmkay? Remember to tack this on when you told him you had a brewskie.

Good for you Nephi. The cannabis plant is one of the greatest herbs available. I credit it with my sanity and as an artistic fuel. It is truly a wonderful thing.

I agree. Its one of the most versatile, medicinally beneficial drugs on the planet. Whoever thought it should be illegal was on drugs when they made that decision, I believe... AND NOT CANNABIS!!!

I also support the legalization of marijuana. It is so much less destructive than alcohol, criminalizing it could only have been political and financial. I once read it was due to not wanting to eliminate an entire federal bureau after the alcohol prohibition was eliminated. All those feds with nuttin' to do.

I also wish it were more accepted for medicinal use. I also have a medical condition that could benefit from it. But that will never happen in the uber conservative state I live in.

Oh, and by the way, ages ago in the early eighties, I knew a couple in Provo who shared your philosophy. I admit I was shocked.
We hate to seem like we don’t trust every nut with a story, but there’s evidence we can point to, and dance while shouting taunting phrases.
