Because you've driven him to the very brink of revealing the existence BYU-NSA information sharing based on the NSA's strong recruiting of BYU grads as electronic interception agents.

Dr Scratch, you're still getting his goad. DCP is a peevish, little personality, most assuredly insecure and bitter:
DCP wrote:My patience with the Stalker is wearing thin.
And that wasn't really my intention: I wasn't out to "goad" him. I genuinely thought it was interesting that the Mormon Interpreter listed the editor's fees at "$50 per hour." I'm still very curious as to whether or not a similar sum was in play during his reign at the FARMS Review.
In the meantime, I suppose it would be worthwhile to revisit an old classic of Dr. Peterson's:
DCP wrote:There was, in fact, a powerful question of principle involved that would be worth protecting in court: A vigorous review process is of the essence of free speech in the publishing business. "Libel suits can effectively chill the first amendment rights inherent in critical comments, if the critics are compelled to expend the time and money necessary to defend such suits," observes another legal opinion, which also warns against "the threat that litigation will be used to harass and intimidate innocent critics."
Someone ought to remind him that he wrote this.
"[I]f, while hoping that everybody else will be honest and so forth, I can personally prosper through unethical and immoral acts without being detected and without risk, why should I not?." --Daniel Peterson, 6/4/14

Evidently, he believes that I am part of a collective that contributes to your MDB persona, Doctor.
Well, if that's true, I'm certainly glad to know it.

Yeah, right?
Dude is seriously out to lunch.
From the Ernest L. Wilkinson Diaries: "ELW dreams he's spattered w/ grease. Hundreds steal his greasy pants."
by the way: I wanted to add that the individual DCP identified as being his "stalker" seems like a charming and well-spoken chap. I hope that (if he hasn't done so already) he registers here and participates in the discussions. We might even be able to make room for him on the faculty at Cassius. Maybe even a brand-new chaired professorship.

Mr. Peterson receives a tip and outs someone's in real life identity on his vendetta-blog which, as it turns out, the person ID'd is the wrong guy.
What a turd monster. Even his mea culpa is pathetic. The man is sloppy both in life and on the Internet.

Well, it would need the approval of Dean Robbers, but yes: I'd be in favor of that.

I wonder who the idiot lawyers are who advised him he has a good case for defamation against Scratch. I am guessing none of them would take the case on contingency. DCP seems unaware that truth is an absolute defense to defamation, or that for a statement to be defamatory it must be factual, not a statement of personal opinion or mere speculation. It would be interesting to see DCP's list of false factual statements by Scratch about DCP, resulting in harm to DCP's reputation, that DCP or his delusional lawyers think satisfy the legal elements of defamation.

I'd even be willing to bet DCP is a public figure, so he'd have to show reckless disregard for the truth.
