If it was me they would have been shown the door in about 30 seconds and would never have left with the TV.

But JP it is obvious you are kinder and more forgiving than I am.

That woman's husband was the ONLY reason I allowed them to take the TV. As I stated previously, he is a wonderful person, and was a great primary teacher for my son. My son is autistic, and he was very caring and understanding with him. My goal was to help HIM out, not her.

I feel sorry for him. He has to LIVE with her!

consiglieri wrote:I think this story illustrates the sense of entitlement Mormonism engenders in some of its members.

They are entitled to what you have, whether it is your time or property.

They feel entitled to pry into your private life.

They feel entitled to judge you.

Why this should be I am not entirely certain.

But as an attorney, I have more than once encountered Mormons who feel entitled to my services just because I am the same religion.

YES! That entitlement issue is rampant in the Church!

I teach voice lessons, and do you know that Church members were the worst to collect money from? It got to the point where I refused to do business with them. There was only ONE Church member I had who consistently paid on time, and that was the Bishop in the other ward. His daughter took lessons from me, and he was very good about paying.

Jesse:

You realize that she didn't need the T.V., didn't want the T.V., and has no use for the T.V. . . that she only used it as a pretext to be able to get into your home, examine the surroundings, and create a one-on-one setting so she could ask you intrusive questions, right?

Do you think that the entitlement attitude has to do with the Law of Consecration?

No, I think it has to do with the Law of Constipation.
