Great question, Dr Exiled. I don't think it would have to work in one way. We could do all kinds of things, including interviewing individual posters or going back into board history, including the its origins with Shades et al. Discussing the different kinds of topics we treat here. Look at past threads. Sometimes it could be a roundtable. Other times just one person interviewing another. We could do all kinds of things.

Sounds good. Also how about calling it "Irreverent Mormonism?" And at least two of the episodes have to be about taking the Dales and Rasmussen to task for their nonsense. Lem and others did a great job with that.Kishkumen wrote: ↑Thu Dec 15, 2022 2:25 pmGreat question, Dr Exiled. I don't think it would have to work in one way. What a great idea! Maybe we could entice people like Blixa, Runtu or Darth J to come back and talk about their experiences here.
I also would suggest doing segments on Grindael.
Also it would be fun to do a "Truth or Consequence" bit segment with three contestants pretending to be famous past sock puppets.
"Will the real "Bob Boberson please stand up!" sort of thing.
You could do a Jeopardy parody with forum members competing to see who could do their best mopologetic DP, Wade England or Bill Hamblin impersonation.

I do think it’s important to have someone playing devils advocate for the church. Otherwise it’s just a giant echo chamber.

Since I've joined the forum, I've loved going through earlier topics because so much useful information can be discovered here. But I must admit that a lot of the posters are fairly dull. Kishkumen, I'm sorry, but you're not very entertaining. You'll need to add some of the more amusing posters like Doctor Cam, Veritas, unquestionably Binger and Atlantic Mike if you launch a YouTube channel covering subjects from this message board. I doubt I could endure an entire podcast while listening to posters like Dr. Shades, Marcus or Res.Kishkumen wrote: ↑Wed Dec 14, 2022 3:41 pmI have been kicking around the idea of possibly taking our board community into the overcrowded podcast/YouTube world. Yes, it is overcrowded, but I am dying of curiosity to see what would happen if we enjoyed the new light a different medium would shed on what we have going on here.

Looks like we may have found our first contestant for "Sock Puppet Truth or Consequences".Mitchell 1919 wrote: ↑Thu Dec 15, 2022 4:16 pmSince I've joined the forum, I've loved going through earlier topics because so much useful information can be discovered here. This is an excellent idea. I would love to listen to some podcasts/YouTube material from the posters here. Stem, Res, Shades, Marcus, Cam, Doubting, Dude and many, many others.Kishkumen wrote: ↑Wed Dec 14, 2022 3:41 pmI have been kicking around the idea of possibly taking our board community into the overcrowded podcast/YouTube world. I can contribute financially. Kish, please send me a PM.

Yes, we must have been on the same wavelength today! I started to think about Blixa, Runtu, Darth J, and Grindael.Fence Sitter wrote: ↑Thu Dec 15, 2022 2:39 pmWhat a great idea! Maybe we could entice people like Blixa, Runtu or Darth J to come back and talk about their experiences here.
