To that end, should I remove the "The Rosebud MEGATHREAD" and ban all further accusations of alleged criminal conduct on Dehlin's part, under the auspices that he is a poster here, even if his real name and user name aren't linked?

This board has been protecting the ongoing and obsessive harrassment of another poster, public figure or otherwise, under the principle of free speech. I don't think this board should stand as a public forum in which a person should be permitted to live out their delusions. It's not healthy for the poster. It's not healthy for the board. It's toxic and possibly dangerous to either or both parties because the groundwork has been laid on this board for potential triggering.

When a poster posted DCP's address, we pulled it.
When a poster began making threatening remarks about DCP, he was banned.

Collect up her MEGA thread and any outstanding related remarks from other threads, then relocate the whole body of evidence into the Mod Forum for safe keeping. If authorities ever need it, you've got it ready to go. Then you can know you've done right by both posters in question.

You could let John export the thread, and then delete it. That way you don't need to worry about preserving the thread for legal purposes.

The only reason I voted no is because it's easier to call out the hypocrisy of Rosebud And Jenn Kamp when there's a place for people to view the "drama."

For example, even Rosebud admits Kamp's credibility is destroyed. It's because simple posts like this say 1000 words:

Leave up the Megathread, for Pete's sake. It stands as a constant reminder to all of us of how much nonsense we are wise to avoid, including the thread itself. No one believes these accusations against Dehlin. Rosebud, Kamp, and the rest of the clowncar of self-immolating nuts have so thoroughly discredited themselves that it is practically a service to humanity to leave this thread up. It is helpful for all of us to have easy reference to the evidence of their sad escapades. I don't know that JD suffers anything because Rosebud can come here and prove once again that she could use some professional help with her personal psychological problems. And, for what it's worth, she ought to have someplace to come to vent. We can also exercise our humanity by interacting with her positively on the rare occasions when she is not 100% into her Dehlin delusions.

Shades. Put yourself in Dehlin's place. If Rosebud was doing this to you, using your in real life name (which most of us can connect to your screen name here and elsewhere), making the same unsupported, escalating, serious, and salacious claims about you...you'd have her out of here so fast there wouldn't even be enough time for her head to spin.

You know it. I know it. All the birdies in the trees know it. Anyone with history and long memory here knows it.

Z trolls. Only here you can make a decision where you (and I for that matter) cannot be banned and have the power to protect another guy from ongoing harassment and libel against himself and his family. Possibly his livelihood as well. Release her to find another playground or seek help.

I don't know much about Jen Kamp. Seems to me that Rosebud absorbed her to fit into her own scenario. Whatever. It's sick and also sickening. I think it's dangerous to keep her visible. Shove the Mega into the Mod Forum and be done with it.

All this board is doing is feeding her delusions. It's borderline risky on multiple levels for this board to give voice to it.

Just for the record. I have exactly NO skin in this game. I'm not a follower of Dehlin (seen some of his podcasts) and she's been on my foes list (read some of her posts here and there) for well over a year by now.
