Wow. Smac really made some errors there, quoting from an article that misinterpreted the study, WITHOUT looking at the study first. He's really too tangled up in the LDS expectations he tries so hard to push.Moksha wrote: ↑Fri Mar 07, 2025 1:45 pmNehor just called Smac out for botching a report on Trans surgeries. I assume Smac posted it because the LDS Church is one of those right-wing hate groups that do not mind lying if it helps bash the LGBTQ community.

I hope that SMAC can overcome being "deeply concerned" about genitals. SMAC, remember the wise words from Apostle Boyd K. Packer:

"I'm on paid sabbatical from BYU in exchange for my promise to use this time to finish two books."

I'm waiting for the federal government to process my request for Public Service Loan Forgiveness right now.Everybody Wang Chung wrote: ↑Thu Mar 06, 2025 1:16 amSMAC posted this gem:
I wonder if any "pro-Mormon" outfits have sought/received government handouts. I hope not. Thanks, -Smac
Two posts later, Dr. Steuss delivers this devasting response:
A humiliated SMAC then quickly changes the subject by posting about politics and the Ensign Peak Fund. As this board's self-appointed missionary, MG likes to say, that guy is a total loser. From a brief look through ProPublica's searchable database, the More Good Foundation has had over half a million in PPP loans forgiven. $301,258 forgiven as of 3/7/22, and $233,980 forgiven as of 11/3/2020. FAIR had $13,401 forgiven. The Mormon Heritage Association had $27,569 forgiven. The Book of Mormon Foundation had $18,900 forgiven.
"Is this your forgiven PPP loan?" has definitely become my favorite response to right-wing types who complain about government hand-outs and student loan forgiveness.
I don't see anything for the official LDS church schools, but Southern Virginia University had 4.4 million forgiven.
