I prefer to lick lollipops. I eat cupcakes. Licking is a waste of effort.

Licking something is never a waste of effort.....unless you're licking something inedible (exceptions will be made for people of opposite gender).

Mister Scratch wrote:I believe the story of my avatar has already been told, but I'll happily share it again.

The name "Mister Scratch" refers to the short story wherein the Devil takes on Daniel Webster. Since I believe that critiquing Mormonism inevitably involves assuming a kind of "devil's advocate" position, it seemed a fitting moniker. Also, I like that it alludes to "scratching" the surface of absurdity and stupidity that one so often finds among TBMs.

I thought you got your name from a text-based computer game and hadn't heard of the Daniel Webster story until USU78 posted a picture of the devil and said "this is Mr. Scratch."

Mine's boring.

Miss Taken comes from Dav Pilkey's Captain Underpants books, and seemed appropriate to some of my former beliefs in which I now feel I was genuinely mistaken.

The avatar is of Nigel Marvin being chased by a couple of Tyrannasaurs. (Brilliant series...and Primeval...not the film but the UK series pretty much matches it for being super good, but on a fictional level)

ozemc is just a combination some of the letters in my first and last names, and my avatar is, of course, Dustin Hoffman from "Hook".

I was pulled by the expression on his face, and it's look of anticipation/suprise.

I think it's from the part of the movie when Peter comes back and Hook says "So, Peter, it really is you."

Anyway, I liked it.

I'm a big fan of Captain Underpants - I've bought the whole set. At least now I've got a kid that can share them with me. ;o)

They are so anarchic. My son loves them!!! (the only fiction he will read, along with Astrosaurs!)
