I think if he was telling porkies, that young teenage Joseph Smith would've desisted with his story of the vision after someone attempted to put a bullet through his head, while laying down hiding behind a wagon cart in a field. I think the kid would've bailed at that point, as that was clearly not childs play.

The locating of the stone box is fact, I had to say it if I didn't someone else would've posted it, it was a matter of time. If the Gold plates turned up, Urim and Thummim, Cureloms and DNA. I don't think that would prove a thing, then the debate would be are the articles genuine or ingenius forgeries or another third alternative, in my opinion if that happened it would only redirect the debate.

I now come to the history of Joseph. He sprang to the door much frightened. We immediately went in search of the assassin but could find no trace of him that evening. The next morning we found his tracks under a wagon; where he lay when he fired; and the following day we found the balls which were discharged from the gun, lodged in the head and neck of a cow that was standing opposite the wagon, in a dark corner. Poligamy, I think if I was attacking Mormonism I believe it would be more effective to refer to this board not as a cold meat locker but rather a place of illumination wouldn't it? exposing the real truths about Mormonism enlightening the world, shining the lamp of truth in the darknes sort of thing? Moshka as far as I know no factual link has ever been made between HPB and Hitler just speculation, they were not contemporaries, I will ask the president of the T.S. next time I see them.

So this was in fact before all the Mormon stuff, and not an instance of him bravely perservering with his faith through threats of violence and assassination attempts. In fact no one even knew why this happened.

Poligamy: if the Mormon Church was not true would I want to know?

Being a Mormon, the answer would be yes I would like to know naturally. After all its perfectly possible the church could be completely and utterly false and not true, I see no reason why not based on the avialable historical facts. Infact I have never seen any historical evidence that could factually once and for all prove the church true, never not once. Though there is some good evidence I think there is no factual proof and anyone who thinks Mormonism will one day be proven is simply deluded.

As far as I know the only way you can know Mormonism is true is by the Power of the Holy Ghost, that has always been the doctrine as far as I know. And that is how I factually know. Mormonism can't be proved anyone who tells you that is inncorrect neither can Mormonism be proven false. Since 1844 when the Head lines of the newspaper at Joseph Smith's death read, "THUS ENDETH Mormonism", well it has not ended nor been proven false if you waiting for a news flash to interupt ones prime time viewing pleasure. Special Report: Hot off the press, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, has factually be proven false, as we speak Church leaders are deciding the next step.

I can't see how that is theoretically possible certainly hasn't happened so far and it's been a while?
