By the way...that homo-fascist tactic of stereotyping outspoken opponents of homosexuality as homosexuals, was logically debunked and virtually abandoned back in the early 80's (the very rare exceptions to the rule like Ted Haggard notwithstanding). So, how about getting a little more up-to-date with your smear campaigns?

Nor would I extrapolate a "diagnosis" of homosexuality from his remarks on masturbation and the idea that it can lead to homosexuality. I think this was a pretty widespread mistaken notion held over from the 50's by the more culturally conservative of his generation. While it may not have been the common perception when the book was published (let alone now) I think its a rather typical bit of "old guy" mythology.

By that same rationale then, an Islamic suicide bober is now a Martyr Bomber, also, even though they made a concious discion to carry out an action that they knew would result in their death, it's the fault of whatever government they were trying to work the will of allah against.

No, the suicide bombers killed themselves.....suicide. They made a concious decision and took the actions that ended their own life. They knew that pushing that button would kill them.

The situation with a rapist is completely different. No one is thinking the victim will grab the attacker's knife and physically end their own life.

I actually hadn't thought about it until I read the SWK quote Blixa recorded in her post. That's when the suspicion occurred to me. I'd hardly characterize that as "spend[ing] too much time thinking about old men's sexual lives." Like I said, it was just a hunch.

The fact is, even if he was a homosexual, who cares? I wouldn't, except to the extent that I'd feel sorry for any fellow human being for having the misfortune of unjustifiably repressing who they are because of outdated and unhealthy culture and beliefs.
