I somewhat doubt it. After all, If I recall correctly, they let DiggerDan's nasty MMM comment go unpunished. And Pacman's gloating about trolling the Catholic boards. And Pahoran's entire oeuvre. Then again, they did boot out Wade for a time. And Serious is keeping me company in Purgatory (for whatever reason).
Back on ZLMB, I had a few believers PM me privately, or tell me privately in chats, that they found Pahoran's behavior offensive and believed he harmed their cause, and would like to have seen him banned permanently. They didn't speak out openly on the board, for whatever reason.
Where did Pacman gloat about trolling the catholic boards? I'd like to see that one, given how certain TBMs insist Mormons are above such behavior.
So, since Ray is aligning himself with those who call people like me, lazy, sinful, proud, and following Satan, I guess I have to assume he is one of them.
Of course, he's already made that pretty obvious on this thread.
I do have to say, as I've said before, I don't know any real life Mormon, with one exception, who would behave this way. When I first left the church, my father started to act a bit as if he was going to try and bully me back, but my mother dragged him to the SP who read him the riot act, and reminded him that it was my father's job to make sure I was still loved, and the door would always be open for me, should I change my mind one day. Maybe my experience is unusual since I live in the mission field, and Mormons don't have the bullying attitude that majorities so often do.
I'm sure on an internet board they would behave a bit differently - I certainly do. I never talk about these things with them. But I do not believe they would act like the more notorious apologists - Pahoran, Juliann, and, sadly, now Ray - I think this is a personality issue, not a religious issue. People who behave like that are going to behave like that no matter what side of the fence they are on.
I also don't know any real life exmormon who would behave like some of the more notorious RFMers do, either. Again, I think it's personality.
