Re: friends on Facebook...

Facebook likes to suggest that two parties become friends based on shared friends. It has recommended to me that I be friends with Dan Peterson, William Hamblin, and Ardis Parshall many, many times, because we have dozens of mutual friends. I've always ignored those notices as I don't think any of those people are particularly fond of me, nor do I think they would care to get updates on things like my daughter's potty training.

That is probably how Chino Blanco became friends with Dan Peterson. It wouldn't have been any trouble at all.

Liz, you've always answered my tickets promptly. I appreciate the years of service and the personal time you've dedicated to us, and I'm sorry to see you stepping down.

I am grateful for your contribution. It has been hard and often thankless work, no doubt.

That is why I wish you had not posted what you thought was in real life information about a poster you wanted to 'swipe' at (Scratch in this case) - a clear breach of a key rule on any board.

Once that came out, how could you stay on?

LOL! Encyclopedia Brown just called the law a red herring.

I don't know who "Encyclopedia Brown" might be; but for those who know how to read, it is Darth J's distraction tactic, and not the law, that is a red herring.

Not so dumb that I ever really fell for the claims you made about yourself.

Point of information, so that we can all enjoy the fun:

Encyclopedia Brown is a series of books featuring the adventures of boy detective Leroy Brown, nicknamed "Encyclopedia" for his intelligence and range of knowledge.

Hope this is not in real life information about Pahoran!

Feel free to explain how I am distracting from your assertions with an irrelevant point.

I mean, I know that facts and objective reality and things like that are a distraction from rabid religious zealotry, but I mean more specifically.

Encyclopedia Brown also had a girl bodyguard, Sally Malone, who protected him from the neighbourhood bully, Bugs Meany.

How apropos.

Excellent point. If this current Dr. Scratch persona was genuine, he would know about the mortal dangers of discovery posed by the Danites.

LDST:

I would like to remind everyone that at the end of each story, Encyclopedia Brown explained the factual basis for how he arrived at his conclusions. This is a major point of distinction between that character and the topic of this thread.
