MG=mentalgymnast... Didn't realise that. Guess the clue is in the name lol.
Good catch lol. Also, speaking of "criticis[ing] each other as people," did you notice the name mentalgymnast gave the thread?
Talking about him too.

Gotcha. I assumed you were, I just didn't understand your comment in a thread whose title explicitly stated that was being done.

Why is everyone just beating on each other? Not really much discussion happening when we all just criticise each other as people.
What's the view like from up there?
Premise 1. Eyewitness testimony is notoriously unreliable.
Premise 2. The best evidence for the Book of Mormon is eyewitness testimony.
Conclusion. Therefore, the best evidence for the Book of Mormon is notoriously unreliable.

I agree with drumdude on this.

I think I've demonstrated that I'm not always MG 2oh's biggest fan. That said, though MG's "hug a child" may have been awkwardly said, it should be left at that. I think he was trying to suggest that folks here are not those who engage in common, everyday activities--including hugging our own children or grandchildren. It obviously backfired on him.

There's much to engage in MG's disparaging opening post without focusing on that. He loves irritating folks, but many times we're too quick to take the bait. He wants to be misunderstood and to play the victim. As Sock Puppet suggests, we're obliging him. (And I'm speaking as one who obliges him all too often.)

What I said in my initial post:

"Step outside and breathe. Hug a child. Serve a neighbor. Take a drive. Read a good book. Have a real life conversation."

Who in their right mind would think that within the context of this sentence there is some 'hidden' meaning that points towards grooming?

Sheesh, people. Awkwardly said? I don't think so. Awkwardly received. Possibly.
I stand corrected. Obviously there's nothing awkward about one of the most frequent posters on the board chiding everyone else for posting so much. I made a mistake in stepping up to defend you.

Much to engage in my opening post? Such as?
Again, I stand corrected. As you so poignantly demonstrate, there's really no reason to engage anything you said in your opening post.

Irritating folks? Not really. What I do like to do is push back on some of the silly and inappropriate comments...bashing...that are often made about the CofJCofLDS, its leaders and those that are living according to its standards.
See above.

Speaking of MG and Mormon prophecies, are there any animal (or fruit and vegetable) prophecies beyond that white horse one? Is there one about a latter-day tapir in a vineyard?

Read a good book.

I read a book lately: The Lost 116 Pages

Then I opened a special thread in an attempt to "Have a real life conversation" with the author, Don Bradley because I had an important question about something he wrote in his book. It has to do with those who had dark skin in the Book of Mormon, the "good book" of Mormonism.

It's been nothing but crickets chirping for in behalf of Don.

Same crickets chirp from you concerning black Anubis (Facsimile No. 3) and the king's name purported to be in the Book of Abraham which is what your Church considers "a good book."

You're a coward, MG. You really are.

I won't call you a troll, but I will call you a coward.

This thread has drawn some of you out a bit more so that your true colors can be seen/observed. Sometimes it's difficult to have a conversation and have that conversation result in transparency. I think we've seen that in this thread.

I've had some of my own suspicions confirmed. Nothing I didn't already suspect, but still...some more lines were colored in. What wasn't said and/or responded to tells me as much, if not more, than that which was responded to.

Some more T's crossed and I's dotted.

Thanks for the participation.

Be well.

MG

Previously…
This thread has now run its course as far as I'm concerned.
I hope you can fill the large void in your life that you have spent 25 years trying to fill by trolling, with something more satisfying.

Like a senior mission maybe… ;)

But I don’t think you will. Trolls gotta troll.

Touche. Think we need to find something new and interesting to discuss but I'm all out of ideas.
