I'm not a thread nazi, usually, but sometimes the constant derailments do become quite tiresome. I think a thread originator can clearly state the purpose of a thread and ask that it not be derailed. I make off-topic remarks in threads, and people do so in mine. Skippy and I just snort at Crockett, KA pops in to talk about fornication pants in my evolution thread , Bond flirts with me, Liz discusses Goddess goodies... I mean, plenty of us do the one-liners. Those don't bother me half as much as people coming into a thread with an agenda to change the entire focus of the thread away from the OP.

This is how I feel, as well. I don't think a faith-based rule is necessary, but I do hope that in the Celestial Forum there will be some moderation in order to limit major derailments.
